Simon & Schuster author Lisa Chau is a creator who curates connections. She pivoted into entrepreneurship in 2009 when she joined the Public Relations team at the Tuck School of Business at her alma mater Dartmouth College.  Since then, she has built a strong network of entrepreneurs, investors, and executives across a myriad of industries; judged pitch competitions; and served as a mentor for SXSW (2018), the Dartmouth Entrepreneurial Network (2018), and MIT Hacking Medicine NYC Grand Hack (2019). 

Lisa has been published over 130 times in Forbes, Buzzfeed, Thrive Global, US News & World Report, as well as Huffington Post on TABLES: Technology – Academia – Business – Leadership – Entrepreneurship – Strategy. Her work includes profiling successful entrepreneurs, high level executives, established professors, distinguished creatives and award-winning authors. 

She is very active in the entrepreneurship scene. With Fu Foundation School of Engineering at Columbia alumnus Canberk Dayan, Lisa co-organized and co-hosted the How to Build a Strong Start-Up Conference at Columbia University, mentioned in Yahoo Finance.

At NYU, she organized and hosted the NYU-Dartmouth Conference Adaptive Careers – How to Succeed in a Rapidly Evolving World, featuring Harvard Business Review author, Dorie Clark.

Lisa is also extremely involved with education, lecturing undergraduates and MBA candidates at The New School and The Zicklin School of Business at Baruch College. At MIT, she taught a seven week summer course which covered the use of social media to enhance professional networking. New York Institute of Technology (NYIT) invited her to deliver the keynote at their inaugural Ventures Growth Conference. Smith College invited her to speak as a part of their Executive Education Leadership Series.

Lisa has spoken and led workshops at Yale, Dartmouth and the Ivy Council’s Innovative Leadership Summit hosted by Princeton University. She was also a panelist at Microsoft in a Blockchain Conversation Series moderated by former Obama appointee, CNN alum, and Founder of LOGOS Cleve Mesidor.

She is a passionate alumna who served on the Dartmouth College Club of the Upper Valley, and continues to serve on the Dartmouth College Club of New York.

Domestically, Lisa spoke on two panels during Charleston’s third annual DIG SOUTH — the Southeast’s first and foremost event celebrating the digital economy with over 200 presenters from companies such as Google, Instagram, Twitter, TechCrunch, BuzzFeed, and Inc.  The media panel was moderated by NBC News anchor and Emmy-Award winning journalist, Angie Goff.  Acclaimed entrepreneur and internet personality, Gary Vaynerchukdelivered the kickoff keynote.

Internationally, she was invited by the Bahamas Millennials Society to speak at their First Future Leaders Forum.

Lisa was a featured guest on Midday Talk with Dan Roderick, speaking on millennials and digital strategy. The show aired on National Public Radio (NPR) Baltimore, which is ranked #21 in the radio market in the US, out of 273.

In Change Creator Magazine, Amy Aitman profiled Lisa as the solopreneur who founded Alpha Vert.
